Bio
Charlie Sehres’ music is a combination of influences and inspirations from Minimalism, Classical, Jazz, Rock and modern Electronic music. Charlie’s most recent projects have been scoring multiple short films and an indie game. His past work includes composing and producing content for music library DL-Music, writing a song for the 30th anniversary edition of the film “Cavegirl,” as well as writing and recording an album and EP with his band “Forty Feet Tall.” Charlie’s music has been placed on MTV programing, the Showtime show “Shameless” and feature film “Killing Gunther” starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Charlie recently completed his studies at San Francisco Conservatory of Music obtaining a Bachelor of Music degree in “Technology and Applied Composition.” He studied composition with Lennie Moore. During his time at SFCM, Charlie had workshops with film and video game composers Jeff Beal, Austin Wintory, Clint Bajakian, and Dren McDonald as well as workshops with Sony Playstation music producers Matt Levine and Jonathan Mayer.
Charlie Sehres was born and raised in Los Angeles and started taking classical piano lessons when he was 6 years old. Before moving to San Francisco, he was interning at DL-Music with composer Hal Stephens, teaching piano, and musical directing/accompanying a Sunday mass choir. Before his move back to LA, Charlie was a Studio Assistant for Sony Playstation, and worked at SFCM as a recording engineer and as a department assistant for the Technology and Applied Composition department. Along with music, Charlie enjoys photography, hiking, and soccer.
